New Plaque in Julian’s home village

The Slade family were brought up in the Gloucestershire village of Painswick where, as a teenager, Julian excelled as an amateur actor with The Painswick Players. As far as we know he is also the only Painswick Player to have written a successful West End musical. Hence their decision to install a plaque in Julian’s honour in the village Institute where the Players continue to stage productions.

The Julian website has been slow to catch up with this nice piece of recognition, for which we apologise, but now, thanks to a Painswickian, we are very pleased to correct this by showing you the plaque.
